Dangerous Looks (Amanda Law, "we", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information is collected when you use dangerouslooks.ca, how it is used, and your choices. It is written with reference to British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
What this website collects
This website has no forms, no accounts and no payments. We do not ask you to enter any personal information on it, and it does not set its own cookies. We do not use analytics or advertising tracking on this site.
Like any website, our host receives basic technical information when your browser requests a page (such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested) so it can deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Booking and deposits (Square)
When you tap Book, you leave this site for our booking page on Square. The details you give when booking (such as your name, phone number, email address and card details for a deposit) are collected and processed by Square under Square's privacy policy. We receive your booking details from Square and use them only to schedule, confirm and provide your appointment. We never see your full card number.
When you contact us
If you call, text, email or message us on Instagram, we receive the information you choose to share (such as your name, number and message). We use it only to reply to you and to arrange and provide your appointment.
Third-party services this site loads
- Google Maps. The Visit section shows an embedded Google Map, which loads from Google when you scroll to it. Google may set cookies and collect information about your use of the map under the Google Privacy Policy.
- Code libraries. Some animation code loads from public content networks (cdnjs by Cloudflare, and jsDelivr), which receive your IP address to deliver the files.
- Instagram. Links to our Instagram profile take you to Instagram, where Meta's privacy policy applies.
Hosting and where information is stored
This website is hosted by Vercel. Vercel and the other services named above may store or process information on servers located outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.
Who can see it
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising. Kaplex Industries builds and maintains this website for us; because the site collects no personal information, they do not receive any through it.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and contact information only as long as reasonably needed to provide your appointments and to meet legal and business record requirements, after which it is deleted.
Your rights
Under PIPA you may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to its use (which may limit our ability to book or serve you). Contact us using the details below.
